Overpopulation Is A Huge Threat To Our Species And Here’s Why

Ever walked down Grafton Street and have tried to avoid people left, right and centre? All you can think to yourself is we need another genocide. This overpopulation situation is getting far out of hand.

Back in 2 A.D. the global population has been estimated to be 59.6 million people. Right now, the global population is currently 7.5 billion people and compounding! Not counting but compounding! To put things into a perspective, the entire global population back in 2 A.D. could just about fit into the UK. Everyone in the world, would have just lived in the UK. How insane is that. Unfortunately our species was born to breed. And at exhilarating rates which have led us to one of our new problems, overpopulation.

The overpopulation crisis

The world is facing an overpopulation crisis that is only set to become more severe. The UN has predicted that the global population will reach 9.7 billion people in 2050.

“Either we limit our population growth or the natural world will do it for us” – David Attenborough

The fact of the matter is this, the population is near on impossible to control. Regardless of what way we go about it, there doesn’t seem to be any feasible solution. Back in 1980, China introduced a one child policy to help stop over population. However, when it was abolished it became the social norm to just have one child. This is the closest we have come to sorting out the overpopulation problem. Similarly, we have tried to fight it by finding other habitual planets through the Space X program run by Elon Musk to even introducing a child tax.

None of the methods have been attractive or easily executable. Population effects every aspect of life. From our planets store of energy, environment to financial sector. Even to bare essential resources we need like food and water.

One of the biggest concerns with overpopulation that this isn’t an issue that’s 100’s of years away, this is only a couple of decades. This is our problem right now.

What will happen if not solution is presented for overpopulation?

Check out the video below to find out what would happen to world if humans disappeared.

  • Resources will begin to deplete.
  • Other species will become extinct with our fight for survival.
  • Cannibalism in masses.
  • Increase in homelessness.
  • Increase in crime.
  • Financial sector collapse.
  • Our species will starve.

Basically it will be the end of the fuckin’ world. All this shit won’t occur instantly but it will over time.

What’s the most feasible solution to overpopulation?

Stop having kids. Simple.

This may sound nuts but a recent study in Japan found that people are giving up on sex. Despite a life expectancy of 85, the number of Japanese is falling due to a fertility rate of 1.4 children per woman and a reported epidemic of virginity. No joke.

So don’t be silly, wrap your willy. Really. It could save our species and you tons in child support.

Furthermore, if you do want kids, adopt. We have enough little people in this planet without a home or a family. We don’t need more. Adopting is one of the most noble and self-less things you could do.

Do the right thing.
